One day at a time please…

In Advice about Life on January 11, 2014 at 2:29 pm
The successful person learns to live in the present only, but always headed toward next time. Live a day at a time & do a job at a time. Then go on a next time. That makes sense, But, unhappily, lots of people don’t do that. Instead, they live in the past, present, and future all at the same time. What an error to waste mental energy brooding over past events or worrying about problems that might develop at some future time and then again might not.
Never waste a moment on yesterdays. Finish every day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well & serenely and with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense.

To Love Like I Love the Rain

In PHOTOS, Random, Reflection on May 7, 2012 at 9:46 am

I wonder if I can love people the same way I love rain:
To be in love with someone madly yet selflessly. To let the other person be mad, crazy, beautiful, unpredictable and soothing without having to pin them down and make them have to stay. To just be happy each time he or she is there and to be happier still when they stay the week, and to not be sad when they go away because you know they’re coming back. To love the person and expect nothing in return except to know the person is being himself or herself. And finally to know that there are also people whom that person touches in his or her own way, making others fall in love with them too. So you have to share freely and happily, at the same time knowing you are special and that no two people can love the person quite the same way.

10 SEC READING: Frogs being boiled

by PAULO COELHO on APRIL 13, 2012

Sometimes we can be like the boiled toads. We do not notice changes.
We think everything is good, or that whatever is evil will pass, it’s just a matter of time.
We are about to die, but we are floating, stable and apathetic as the water warms up every minute.
We are dying, fat and happy, without having noticed the changes around us.
